DAVAO CITY- Six people were injured after a lightning struck in an outskirt village in Barangay Salaysay, Marilog District, Davao City on Saturday afternoon, April 27.
Davao City Police Office reported Sunday, the victims were attending a wedding celebration at Sitio Macabol in said Barangay when they were hit by lightning at around 2 p. m.
Tuazon identified the injured individuals as Jesse Bayo, 18, Annabel Mendoza, 48, Albert Pagayao, 17, Chino Pagalan, 8, Ernesto Pahulayan, 42, and Marily Mantiquilla, 34. Victims are all residents in nearby Barangay in Suawan.
Tuazon said the six victims sustained minor injuries on different parts of their bodies and were brought to the nearest hospital by responding rescuers from Central 911 ambulance and Brgy. rescue vehicle for treatment.
