Abdullah said the ACM is manufactured by Miru Systems, which is a Korean company. It can read the ballots even as they are torn, crumpled, with unnecessary marks, or wet.
Luna said Comelec assures the machine is “very accurate”. “ We can say the ACM is very accurate in reading the ballots. It has enhanced features to ensure transparency in the 2025 polls.”
In the new ACM, the voter can see the face of the ballot on the screen. They will also have the chance to recover their ballots if they want to choose and add more candidates.
The receipt that will be generated has a QR code that can be scanned by the ACM, which they can check after the counting and transmission of results.
