KASIMBAYANAN with theme “Life is beautiful. Kaligtasan Niyo, Sagot Ko,” aims to pursue a more holistic and sustainable peace and security situation in the community.
It is dubbed “revitalized” as it is the renewed form of the program pursued by the PNP to achieve peace and order during the May 2022 elections.
The event launching which took place at Camp Captain Domingo E. Leonor highlighted the collaboration of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the general public through the intervention and assistance of the religious sector and other faith-based organizations in order to achieve a holistic transformation in the service of security and protection.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the religious leaders and the city police officials also highlighted the event.
The memorandum centers around the mutual goal of strengthening the collaboration between the police forces and the religious institutions in the city to enhance Police Community Relations.
The signing parties include DCPO acting chief Colonel Alberto Lupaz also pledged to “strive to bridge the gaps and build stronger ties by working closely.”
KASIMBAYANAN program is part of the M+K+K=K (Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran) directive of the chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) General Rodolfo Azurin.
Also attending the launching were Global Police Community Relations Regional Director Jennifer Go, Deputy City Director for Administration Lieutenant Colonel Jed Clamor, San Pedro Cathedral Parochial Vicar Reverend Father Michael Ondras, KASIMBAYANAN Region 11 Coordinator Pastor Noel Jone Astudillo, Madrasah Comprehensive Development and Promotion Officer Ustadz Nasrudin Maulana, DCPO Advisory Council Pastor Noel Milloren, KALIGKASAN Regional Director Socorro Jean Sigasig, and other DCPO officers.
The event was also graced by Vicky Sarcena, director of Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)- Davao City who was the guest of honor and speaker.
