The victims were identified as Julius Loon, 45, his wife Josi, 48, and children, Jeannie, 14, and Jamaica, 11 years old.
Kapalong Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Center (MDRRMC) reported that toppled soil buried the house of the victims who were in their deep sleep.
The rescuers from MDRRMC and Bureau of Fire Protection in Kapalong travelled more than 60 kms. traversed mountains and rivers, and conducted search and retrieval operations. The bodies were recovered at around 5 p.m of same day.
The casualty count from the Davao Region landslides and flash floods has reached 10 and one still missing in Maragusan, Davao de Oro landslide on Thursday. Also, seven residents in Davao de Oro were reportedly injured.
Two of the 10 casualties were drowned from the flood in New Bataan and in Pantukan, Davao de Oro.
The other four casualties died due to landslides in Maragusan and New Bataan.
Data from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) 11 showed that as of 6 a.m of February 3, 262 barangays across the region were severely affected by the floods and landslides due to non-stop rain.
At least 413,663 individuals or 98,984 families have been affected by the weather disturbance across the region.
Currently, a total of 66 roads and nine bridges in Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte , and Davao Oriental are still not passable.
Landslide incidents were recorded in about 45 barangays mostly in Davao de Oro, the OCD 11 data showed.
