DOH okays PRO 11 ambulatory surgical clinic
DAVAO CITY- The ambulatory surgical clinic (ASC) of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 is now accredited and given license to operate by the Department of Health (DOH) after completing all the requirements and tools needed for its operation.

The ASC which is located inside PRO 11’s headquarters in Buhangin this city has a state of the art operating room where major and minor operations can be performed by medical specialists of Camp Sergeant Quintin M. Merecido Hospital (CSQMMH).

The project is another initiative of PRO 11 regional director Police Brigadier General Filmore Escobal in his vision to have a facility that would readily cater to the immediate medical needs of its personnel including their dependents, Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel of neighboring Regions and other authorized persons.

“The successful inspection and accreditation of the PNP-PRO 11 ASC marks another milestone in PRO 11’s effort to uplift the morale of its personnel, and by looking after their welfare and well-being as a whole,” Escobal said.

ASC will be actively serving its intended beneficiaries, Escobal said.

PRO 11 had already established other health facilities such as molecular laboratories and quarantine/isolation facilities for PRO 11 personnel in Malagos, Calinan, this city.

The ongoing construction of the P131 million CSQMMH hospital that was started last October 2021 is expected to be fully completed next year.

Currently, the said DOH-accredited hospital has a 75-bed level and it is the first hospital of the PNP under a Police Regional Office.
