Police City Director Colonel Alberto Lupaz received the award during the celebration of the 121st Police Service Anniversary held at Camp Sgt Quintin M Merecido Buhangin, Davao City on Monday (Sept. 26).
Lupaz, who was also cited as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations during this year’s National Police Service Anniversary celebration at the National Headquarters, Camp Crame, presented a Special Unit Award for the successful implementation of security deployment and coverage during the inauguration of Vice President Sara Z. Duterte.
Meanwhile, the Sasa chief of police, Major Jake Goles was adjudged as the Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Operation, while staff sergeant Romel D. Demillo cited as Best Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Operation.
The Davao City Mobile Force Company and Sta. Ana Police Station was also recognized as Best City Mobile Force Company and Best City Police Station,respectively.
Lupaz credited the award to the strong support of the city government and the various anti-criminality activities of the police force such as Oplan RAT Tugis and Oplan Kalinaw.
This also includes maintaining intensified police visibility in the city.
