Cotabato Governor Mendoza takes oath for second term; vows to  uphold genuine and compassionate governance
AMAS, KIDAPAWAN CITY- Cotabato Governor Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza reaffirmed her commitment to genuine, honest, fair, and compassionate public service as she officially took her oath of office for a second term on Monday, June 30, alongside other newly elected provincial officials.

Mendoza secured a fresh mandate after garnering 414,043 votes in the recently concluded midterm elections, further strengthening her legacy spanning more than three decades in public service as provincial leader.

 

With this renewed trust, she vowed to deliver an even stronger and more responsive governance, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with Cotabateños and elected leaders across the province. Among those she recognized were 1st District Representative Edwin Cruzado, 3rd District Representative Ma. Alana Samantha Santos, Trade Union Congress of the Philippines Representative Raymond Democrito Mendoza, Vice Governor Ella Taliño Taray, and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

 

Governor Mendoza highlighted her administration’s focus on key development programs, particularly in agriculture and other priority areas addressing the needs of Cotabateños. She also underscored the completion of major infrastructure projects under her leadership, including: The Central Mindanao Airport, Cotabato Agro-Industrial Park in M’lang, Cotabato Provincial Hospital, Renal Dialysis Center in M’lang District Hospital, and the Dr. Amado Diaz Provincial Foundation Hospital in Midsayap.

 

“We’ve worked and persevered to sustain the gains and make Cotabato stronger, a province we can all be proud of. And now, we must safeguard our progress to ensure the best future for every Cotabateño,” she said in her inaugural speech.

 

Her long tenure as governor has seen numerous accomplishments under her banner of Serbisyong Totoo, a brand of service defined by integrity, equality, and compassion.

 

“We have come a long way for our beloved Cotabato,” Mendoza added. “But there is still so much more to be done.”
