LTO 11 Law Enforcement Section head Yuri Lim said the driver who tested positive for illegal drug use was a bus driver, who underwent a drug test in Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT).
Oplan Harabas was carried out by joint elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), LTO , Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB), and City Transport and Traffic Management office (CTTMO).
There were a total of 99 drivers (75 bus drivers, 24 UV Express van drivers) submitted themselves for drug testing in DCOTT and at Gaisano Mall Bajada terminal.
Lim said the driver who initially tested positive has been referred for a confirmatory test scheduled for the following day.
The operation was conducted smoothly with no untoward incidents reported.
LTO 11 remains committed to ensuring the safety of the commuting public by promoting a drug-free transport system, especially during the heightened travel period of the Lenten season and summer vacation.
