Launched in February 2022, the four towers with four floors each have 268 total saleable units.
Building 1 is 60 percent completed and all 66 units were sold and due for turnover to homeowners by the first quarter of 2025, Damosa Land president Ricardo F. Lagdameo said.
Given the high demand, construction of Building 2 will start in May this year ahead of its target schedule in August, he added.
Upon arriving at the vast property is the sight of a shipyard used by the previous owner as a ship fabrication and repair area. “We kept the structure and improved it a little bit. We want to keep the boating lifestyle of the communities that how it started,” Lagdameo said during a media tour at the area on Thursday (April 11).
The shipyard is huge and open for functions and various events like weddings and the like. Lagdameo said the local government of IGACOS has used the shipyard for certain events.
Danny Manlangit, the assistant vice president for residential operations of Damosa Land said Bridgeport is complete with amenities among others, 300 and 600 sqm linear swimming pools and Garden Nooks' first longest 90-meter, play area, clubhouse with view deck, lounge, spa, playroom, wellness gym, Wifi, 5,000 sqm forested area and hiking trail, and two elevators.
Of the 13 hectares, there are still five hectares left for development. This open space is dubbed Harbor View Estate consisting of open lots for sale, Ian Marlo N. Castigador, the Bridgeport project head said. Located below the 4-building condominiums, the open space is intended for the construction of commercial establishments, dining areas, a pavilion, villas, and an exclusive marina.
The price of the condos starts from P10 million. Thus, most of its buyers are business owners and professionals with high positions in companies, mostly from Davao City, Davao Region, and some from Manila, Castigador said. About 15 percent of the buyers are foreigners married to Filipinos, he said.
Lagdameo stressed that almost all projects of Damosa Land constitute environment and sustainability measures and are green certified.
At Bridgeport, while Palm trees are planted, big trees remain untouched and the contour of the land is retained.
“We plan our roads so we can reserve the mature trees we don’t like to come in and bulldoze everything. We construct roads by not destroying the trees. We use solar panels in all our buildings, especially Samal, “ he said adding that Damosa Land wants to encourage more developers to have green sustainable projects.
Bridgeport is recognized as Highly Commended Best Mixed-Use Development at the 2022 Property Guru Philippines Property Awards.
Bridgeport can be accessed via a powerboat from Davao City. The company said the project is US East Coast-inspired.
