Davao de Oro police identified the victims as Sanny Takayama Amando, 43, who is the underground operator of APEX and his father, Sidio Dagmac Amando, 65, a resident of Purok 4 Bombaran Elizalde in Maco.
In a report, responding police found the victims’ bodies bathed with their blood due to several gunshot wounds in their bodies, a few meters away from the younger Amando’s house located at a hilly portion in the area. Two fired cartridge cases of a .45 caliber pistol were recovered from the crime scene.
A witness revealed that while father and son were walking from the latter’s house, he heard several gunshots. Upon checking, he said a man about 5 inches tall, in black jacket hastily ran away.
Police have yet to determine the motive of the killing. Their remains are now lying in a funeral parlor in Mawab, Davao de Oro. (BY RICHY NALAGON)
