7 People's Organizations in Agusan del Sur get P2.1-M livelihood assistance
DAVAO CITY- Seven People’s Organizations (POs) in Agusan Del Sur received a total of P2.1 million worth of livelihood assistance under the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Sustainable Livelihood Program (DSWD-SLP).

The beneficiaries include Binucayan Farmers Association, Johnson Tribal Farmers Association, Magaud Maitom Farmers Association, Sitio Moto Farmers Association, Violanta Farmers Association, Kauswagan Sabud Farmers Association, and Mansungad Farmers Association.

The POs received the livelihood grants cheque under the Executive Order 70 Conflict Vulnerable Area (CVA) SLP in a turnover ceremony held at La Marciana Function Hall, Poblacion, Loreto, Agusan del Sur.

In his message, 10th Infantry “Agila” Division Commander Major General Nolasco A Mempin said that the whole command continues to champion the welfare of the more than 600 people’s organization in its area of responsibility in collaboration with different government agencies through the Whole-of-Nation Approach. 

“As we move towards the sustainment of our counterinsurgency campaign, Agila Division continues to assist numerous people’s organizations to become more sustainable," Mempin said.

The turnover ceremony was also in coordination with the 60th Infantry Battalion and other government agencies.

Also in attendance were local officials, representatives from Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) , DSWD, and municipal agriculturists.
