Prior to their arrest, the operating teams received several reports from concerned and displeased civilians regarding the presence of the CTGs roaming around the barangay.
Recovered items were one unit of 0.45mm caliber rock island, ammunition, .9mm caliber Tauros, and a blasting cap with detonating cord.
The authorities also seized five pieces of elongated heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected as shabu, three disposable lighter, and P1,000 cash.
Lieutenant Colonel Cresencio Gargar, commanding officer of 29th IB lauded the troop's dedication and resiliency that resulted to the successful apprehension of the high-ranking members of the CTGs.
"Those apprehended personalities have hampered the development of Agusan del Norte due to their terrorist activities,” Gargar said.
He said this accomplishment is the result of the joint efforts of the troops and intensified intelligence operations.
Gargar urged those remaining members who are still in the armed struggle to peacefully surrender, abandon their arms struggle, and avail the socio-economic programs and livelihood assistance offered by the government and be able to live with their families and go back to the mainstream of society.
