14 more barangays in Davao City drug-cleared
More barangays in Davao City have been declared drug-cleared by the Regional Oversight Committee Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC) 1 led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

On Monday's (Sept.26) deliberation of the said committee, 14 villages in the city were added to the list of drug-cleared areas, PDEA 11 Information Officer Noli Dimaandal said.

Latest record showed 81 barangays in Davao City have already been drug-cleared out of the total 182 villages.

The recent drug-cleared barangays are 36-D; Talomo River of Calinan District, Gumalang of Baguio Distri, Alambre and Tungkalan of Toril District, Barangays Balengaeng, Biao Escuela, Los Amigos, Manuel Guianga, Matina Biao, New Valencia, Tacunan, Tagakpan and Talandang of Tugbok District.

During the deliberation process, members of the ROCBDC, which include the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) as vice chairman, the police, Department of Health, and Local Government Unit, scrutinized all the documentary requirements.

Dimaandal said these barangays were able to satisfactorily comply with the required documents for Drug-Cleared Barangay set by Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation Number 3, Series of 2017 and PDEA Memorandum Circular number 2020-041.

Also present during the deliberation were members of the Regional Barangay Drug Clearing Program Team (RBDCPT), Barangay Officials, Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC), members of the 14 drug-cleared barangays, and other stakeholders.
