DAVAO CITY---To get more playing time on the court, Holy Child College of Davao high school scorer Deo Cuajao Cuajao has decided to leave La Salle and transfer to the reigning NCAA college basketball champion Letran Knights.
Letran, athletic director Fr. Vic Calvo, and head coach Bonnie Tan confirmed the news, with Cuajao cleared to play for three years starting in NCAA Season 99 next year.
In his lone year in La Salle, the 6'1 gunner was sparingly used to collect 12 points, three rebounds, and two assists in eight games as he only averaged seven minutes of action.
He played his rookie season with the University of Santo Tomas, nabbing 13 points, 12 boards, and four assists in 12 games as he averaged five minutes of play in UAAP Season 82.
As the newest member of the Knights, Cuajao is expected to provide inside and outside scoring for the team. (Romeo Braceros, Jr.)
