Mindanao teams rule Negros Occidental football tourney
Davao City—Two teams based in Mindanao were the big winners in the Pintaflores Cup U-16 Boys in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, on October 30.

Faith Christian School in Valencia City, Bukidnon, emerged as champion in the tournament after beating Green Medics Pharma FC 3-1 in the finals.

Third place in the tournament went to Crocs FC of Davao City.

James Sunog of Bukidnon FC also wins as Most Valuable Player and Best Striker, ER Jamhiel Alvarado of Green Medics Pharma as Best Defender, Jun Dominique Melig (Bukidnon FC) as Best Goalkeeper, and Lucky Justine Jules Aque (Bukidnon FC) as Best Midfielder. 

Aside from the Mindanao teams, some of the top football clubs in the country also joined the tournament earlier such as The competing teams include San Carlos City Football Club (FC); Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo Province; Bohol Football Association (FA); Forza FA from Manila; University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R)- Bacolod City; and Green Medics-Pharma FC of Bacolod City.
