Alforque, a sweet-shooting big-man, was declared the most valuable player in the game after scoring 18 points, mostly from outside shots.

In the battle for third place, Max Ballers, a team that is also based here, won after beating Barangay 22-C 16-11.

The tournament was organized earlier by the PSC led by PSC coordinator Cholo Elegino and Deputy Director Marlon Malbog in coordination with the IGACOS sports office led by Francis Erick Flores and SK Federation President Jomarie Penaflorida.

The officiating of the game was spearheaded by Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), led by the legendary basketball head coach and referee Billy Crusada.

A total of 36 teams, composed of 28 teams for boys and eight teams for girls, joined the tournament earlier.

Most of the teams came from the Davao region, but one team came all way from Makilala, North Cotabato, and was represented by Notre Dame of Makilala.

Some of the local teams from IGACOS fought hard but only reached the tournament quarterfinals.

Both Elegino and Malbog are happy with the outcome of the tournaments since they were able to successfully promote 3x3 at the grassroots. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
