Hali Long, Sarina Bolden, and Eva Madarang scored goals for the Filipinas in the first half, setting up Chandler McDaniels' return to put the finishing touches on the thrashing and give them all three points in the rankings.
Long scored on a header in the 22nd minute to start the onslaught for the Filipino booters, and Bolden added a goal with a header in the 25th.
Madarang hammered a screamer from outside the box at the halfway point to give her team a clear 3-0 lead. The Filipinas kept up the tempo with their rapid attacks.
Once McDaniels scored the team's insurance goal right before halftime to make her return from an ACL injury official, they never looked back.
The dominant debut should be a tremendous confidence booster for Allen Stajcic's team, which must win Group E to move on to the next round of qualifiers.
The Filipinas will then play Tajikistan on April 8 before finishing their schedule against Hong Kong on April 11. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
