Davsur police honor colleague who won gold  medal in World Police and Fire Games 2022
DAVAO CITY-The Davao del Sur Provincial Police Office gave a certificate of recognition to one of its members who won a gold medal in the World Police and Fire Games 2022 at Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on July 24.

The DDPPO honored Police Staff Sergeant Rodel Bustamante, a police officer assigned to the 2nd Davao del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company, for winning the gold medal in the Men's Masters 40+ 5,000 meter walk.

In a Facebook post, Bustamante said he is happy to win the Philippines and Philippine National Police gold medal.

In 2019, Bustamante also won a silver medal in the same event in Chengdu, China.

More than 10,000 competitors from 70 different countries participate in the WPFG2022.

They competed in 63 sports, including CrossFit, athletics, water polo, kite surfing, and the ultimate firefighter.

The World Police and Fire Games 2022 was organized to establish encounters between first responders. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
