Davao Occidental Dreamers were declared Mindanao champions in PSL 21-Under
Davao City—The Davao Occidental Dreamers won the Mindanao title in the Pilipinas Super League 21-Under on Tuesday evening at the packed Cebu City Sports Institute in Sawang Calero, defeating the Bukidnon Cowboys, 79-76, in the deciding Game Three.

The Dreamers grabbed control in the third canto, taking a 12-point advantage into the final canto, 64-52. On the other hand, the Cowboys persisted and gradually chipped away at the deficit, closing to within two points, 76-78, following a three-pointer by Mindanao MVP Ivo Salarda with 10 seconds remaining.

Reymark Narbasa was fouled on Davao Occidental's next possession and split his free throws for a 79-76 lead. Bukidnon had one more chance to tie the game, but Raul Gentallan's three-point attempt fell short, handing Davao Occidental the Game Three victory and championship.

The Dreamers were led by Jude Bagay, who had 20 points and eight rebounds. Rainier Maga also scored 17 points for Davao Occidental. Lawrence Angeles came off the bench and provided a spark for the Dreamers with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and a steal.

Bukidnon's Salarda finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds. He also hit four three-point shots. Gentallan chipped in with 16 points and nine rebounds. (Romeo Braceros, Jr.)
