National Master Henry Lopez, a native of Panabo City, Davao del Norte, won fourth place in the Open division of the tournament, which was participated by some of the top chess players in the Philippines.
Alfred Moulic, a resident here and a veteran chess arbiter (referee) and chess organizer, won as top arbiter in the open division of the tournament.
National Master James Infiesto, also a resident here and head coach of the Philippine Para chess team, won second place in the same division as Moulic.
National Master Christian Gian Karlo Arca, a resident of Panabo City, Davao del Norte, won second place in the youth division.
All the winners received cash prizes and medals in the tournament organized to commemorate the 2nd death anniversary of the late International Arbiter, FIDE Instructor and National Master Wilfredo Neri of Aklan, founder and first president of Philippine Arbiters Chess Confederation Inc., former Deputy Executive Director for Visayas and former Vice President for Visayas of the Professional Chess Trainers Association of the Philippine.
