3 Davaoenos get slot for PH's U17 Women’s National Team
DAVAO CITY—Not one but three Davaoenos have been given a chance to be part of the Philippine U17 Women’s National Team that is set to compete in international tournaments this year.

Veteran soccer coach and former Philippine women's soccer team member Ching Siega Delos Reyes was designated by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) as the team's assistant coach.

Delos Reyes, who is now a mother, is very proud and happy to be given the chance to handle the top young lady footballers in the country.

Jelena Marie Pido, a member of the Ateneo de Davao University Junior High School futsal team, is also part of the Philippines U17 Women’s National Team Pool and was invited to attend the training camp scheduled from March 5–15, 2023, at the PFF National Training Centre in Carmona, Cavite, Philippines, in preparation for the JENESYS 2022 Japan-ASEAN Youth Sports Exchange scheduled for March 15–24, 2023, in Okinawa, Japan.

Aside from the two,  Nina Yanto, a graduate from UST on an athletic scholarship, is also appointed as the Strength & Conditioning coach of the team. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
