DAVAO CITY—Two promising football players who trace their roots to Region 11 have made it to the roster of the Far Eastern University Tamaraws senior football team in the 2023 UAAP college football season.
Resty Dela Cruz, a resident here and player of Crocs Football Club, has been added to the Tamaraws roster this year alongside Ace Amita, a footballer from Maco, Davao de Oro.
The Tamaraws decided to recruit and sign the two Davaoenos due to their unique football skills.
Dela Cruz, a fullback, is a good scorer and defender and was a prominent football player here before he brought his talent to Metro Manila.
Additionally, Amita is part of the Amita clan, a known football family in Davao de Oro.
With the two Davaoenos on the roster, the Tamaraws are confident they can make noise in the UAAP this year. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
