PH Para chess team wins 4 medals in Asian online chess tournament
DAVAO CITY---The Philippine Para Chess team won four medals in the Asian Online Chess Championship for Players With Disabilities on May 27-29.

The team won three golds, and one silver in the international chess competition participated in by some of the top para chess players in Asia.

The gold medals were won by National Master Jasper Rom-(Physically Impaired Open Category), NM Menandro Redor (Visually Impaired Open Category), and Cheryl Angot (Physically Impaired Women Category).

The silver medal was given by Cheyzer Crystal Mendoza (Physically Impaired Women Category)

Para chess team coach James Infiesto is very happy and proud of the performance of his four-man team.

"Thanks to the Philippine Sports Commission: Chairman William I. Ramirez and Commissioner Oversight Commissioner Arnold G. Agustin," Infiesto said in a Facebook post. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
