Bachmann officially assumes as PSC chief
DAVAO CITY---Richard "Dickie" Bachmann officially acknowledged his difficulties as head of the Philippine Sports Commission.

The 54-year-old Bachmann formally accepted the leadership and the responsibilities from former chairperson Jose Emmanuel Eala in a brief transition ceremony at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila.

After Bachmann took over as PSC chair on December 28, Eala, a sports broadcaster appointed in September, became the PSC chair with the shortest tenure ever.

With the first Batang Pinoy National Championship held after the Covid-19 pandemic broke out in 2020, he had a successful short tenure.

Bachmann thanked his predecessor, praising him for his devotion and commitment to the country's athletes in such a brief period.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
