Seniors and PWD Fun Run Set on December 13
DAVAO CITY — The Pulong Pulong ni Pulong (PPP) Movement is rolling out one of its most inclusive and spirited events of the year as it launches the PPP Seniors and PWD Fun Run 2025 on December 13, along the breathtaking stretch of Talomo Coastal Road in Bago Aplaya.
With the theme “Padayon ta! Let’s keep moving forward!”, the activity champions active aging, wellness, and community solidarity by giving senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) a safe, fun, and fully accessible sporting experience.
The event features distances and divisions tailored to varying mobility levels:
Super Seniors 5K
Super PWD 5K (Wheelchair Category)
Seniors 3K
PWD Able-to-Run 3K
2K Assisted PWD/Seniors
Gun start is at 5:00 a.m. with designated starting points at Bago Park, Talomo Junction, and Talomo Bridge.
Medical teams, ambulances, and wheelchairs will be on standby throughout the event.
Participants are required to present a medical certificate and doctor’s consent prior to joining, ensuring safety for all runners.
Up to 1,000 participants are expected to join — all entitled to free registration, free singlets, free meals, souvenirs, and race bibs with timing chips for official race statistics.
Families and supporters are encouraged to cheer on participants. Non-runners may join the Photo Contest and Reel-Making Contest, aimed at capturing the most inspiring and heartwarming moments of the day.
Prominently displayed on event visuals is the call:
“Bring Rody, a true Dabawenyo, home!”
— a message that reflects the deep sentiment and continuing support of the community for former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, a central figure in the Davao identity and in the PPP movement led by Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte.
With exciting raffle prizes and special tokens for all finishers, the PPP Seniors and PWD Fun Run 2025 promises to be more than just a race — it is a celebration of movement, resilience, and solidarity among Dabawenyos.
Padayon ta — let’s keep moving forward!
