Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 11 identified the suspect as alias “Elmer,” 58 years old, a public-school teacher, and a resident of the area, was apprehended after allegedly selling one sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, worth P8,000 to a PDEA operative who posed as a buyer. Also arrested was his live-in partner and alleged cohort in the illegal drug trade, identified as alias “Jenny.”
Seized during the operation were four sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately twelve grams, with an estimated street value of P110,000, along with the marked buy-bust money used in the transaction. The confiscated substances were turned over to the PDEA Regional Office 11 Laboratory for chemical examination.
The arrested individuals will face charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
