A certain Dodong, 35, single, unemployed, and a resident of said barangay was arrested in the anti-narcotics operation conducted by the San Pedro Police Station of Davao City Police Office (DCPO).
DCPO spokesman Captain Hazel Tuazon said the authorities recovered from the suspect a transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu that was procured by an operative for P27,000.
The operatives also seized 11 more plastic sachets containing shabu with an estimated weight of 803 grams , and an estimated street value of P5.489.844.
Tuazon said the arrested suspect is listed as a high-value target.
According to Tuazon, the operation was a result of the strong collaboration of the local government unit, Barangay Officials, and the police.
She also thanked the community for providing the police the information regarding the illegal activities of alias Dodong.
Charges of Violations of Sections 5 (selling illegal drugs) and 11 (possession of Illegal Drugs of Art. II of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect.
The arrested suspect is temporarily detained at the custodial facility of San Pedro Police Station.
