With the theme, Convergent Innovations: Intensifying gains in the global digital economy, the event is seen to gather Mindanao experts and stakeholders to foster collaboration, technological advancement and innovative solutions.
In his keynote message, MinDA Chairperson Leo Tereso A. Magno underscored the importance of the summit as a platform to explore unprecedented investment opportunities in the region.
“The opportunities before us are limitless, as innovation opens new avenues for expansion and improvements in every aspect of our lives,” said Secretary Magno.
“Innovation has always been the driving force behind the growth of great economies,” Sec. Magno added.
Ms. Belinda L. Torres, Davao Chamber President and Innovation Summit 2024, underlines the goal of the summit and the active role of the Davao Chamber and ICT Davao of fostering innovation and driving positive change.
“We aim to bring innovation of all sorts across industries to one event where people can learn, participate, network, and innovate,” Ms. Torres said.
In support, MinDA Secretary Magno stressed out the role of innovation and peace in driving Mindanao’s economic growth.
“Mindanao has transformed from a region plagued by conflict into an island of peace, beauty, and abundance-showcasing the benefits of stability ushered in by the Bagong Pilipinas,” Secretary Magno said, emphasizing the conducive environment for innovation.
Organized by the Davao Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc, in partnership with ICT Davao, Inc., the 3-day features 33 exhibitors from local and international sectors, showcasing technologies and solutions to support sustainable development in Mindanao.
