Headed by Chief Petty Officer Mahaleel I. Bermas and Petty Officer 2 Jhovane B. Baba of the Philippine Coast Guard, the vessels departed from General Santos City on October 29 and successfully arrived Wednesday (Oct. 39), ready to support the District’s OPLAN BYAHENG AYOS: UNDAS 2024.
With these assets, CGDSEM is now better positioned to strengthen coastal patrols, deliver swift emergency response, and enforce maritime security, upholding the Coast Guard's commitment to safeguarding the waterways of the Davao Region.
As travel and coastal activities increase, CGDSEM urges the public to remain vigilant and prioritize safety by adhering to local advisories and following safety protocols. Cooperation with authorities can greatly aid in maintaining a safe and secure Undas for all.
The two HSR Boats are currently berthed at Daliao Fishport Complex, Toril, Davao City. A formal welcome ceremony will be held on later date.
