These 232 FRs were presented formally to Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Secretary Antonio Ernesto Lagdameo Jr. at Agila Hall, Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr., Barangay Tuboran, Mawab, Davao de Oro, on February 6, 2025.
The 232 FRs, consisting of former NPA regular members and Milisyang Bayan, were among those who surrendered across the Joint Operational Area of 10ID during 2024 and the first quarter of 2025.
The FRs also turned over a total of 111 firearms consisting of 64 high-powered and 47 low-powered firearms, respectively during the ceremony.
Emphasizing the government's commitment to reintegration, Lagdameo commended the FRs for choosing peace and a lawful path toward prosperity.
Major General Allan Hambala, Commander of the 10ID, called for collective efforts to sustain an insurgency-free environment within the Agila Division’s area of operations.
"Today's event is not only a celebration of transformation but also a call to action for all of us to strengthen our commitment to building bridges of trust and reconciliation," Hambala emphasized.
As part of the government’s support for reintegration, the former rebels also received food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
