This was added to the five men who have died during police operations since Saturday shortly after Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte declared war against illegal drugs on Friday (Mar. 22) afternoon.
Four days after Duterte warned drug dealers and users that he would "kill" them should they not leave the city, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) already recorded seven drug personalities who died during police operations after the suspects allegedly fought back.
Based on DCPO records, a total of 21 drug operations have been conducted by the different police stations in the city from March 22 to 26 (as of 12 noon) and have arrested 17 persons.
During these operations, anti-drug operatives seized a total of 202,6400 grams of shabu and 60.3600 grams of marijuana.
Twenty two drug cases were being filed by the police.
DCPO spokesman Captain Hazel Tuazon said that even prior to Duterte’s declaration on war on drugs, the campaign against illegal drugs have already been intensified, in fact record showed from March 10 until the declaration, DCPO have arrested 84 individuals involved in illegal drugs and six persons were neutralized in 62 illegal drug operations.
The latest casualty was a resident of Toril Poblacion this city named Elisado Paquibot alias Lupin and alias Ninin who was considered a top 2 high-value individual city level.
The suspects who were both armed with a .38 revolver died in separate occasion in Toril Poblacion on Tuesday early morning.
