They are supported by an impressive lineup that includes RK Bagatsing, Mylene Dizon, Lotlot de Leon, Gabby Padilla, Elijah Canlas, Ketchup Eusebio, Gio Alvarez,Cholo Barreto, Ron Angeles, and Tirso Cruz III.
The story of the movie centers on how a mother seeks revenge for her murdered daughter. It also exposes abuse and injustice by influential people.
Speaking at a press conference at Dusit Thani Davao on Saturday(Dec. 14) attended by the entire cast, Vilma Santos said it is her first time to do such a character in her 62 years in the movie industry.
“The most important message in this movie is how to be a mother; how a mother does anything for her children,” Santos said.
Also, the movie speaks of injustice and abuse, she said.
“At the same time, the movie showcases that whether we like it or not there is injustice and abuse that is happening in our society. All of these are being felt by mothers,” she said.
Santos is running for re-election as governor of Batangas in the May 2025 midterm local and national elections. She however assured to do at least one movie if ever she will win the elections.
Muhlach for his part said, he didn’t find any difficulty in doing the movie with a good director, good actors he worked with, and a well-written storyline.
“Masayang gawin at madaling sundan parang d mo na kailangan mag prepare kasi kusanglumalabas ang galing mo kasi magagaling na mga artista katrabaho mo at malinisang pagkagawa ng storya,” he said.
