Tancontian, a proud Davaoeño, was officially selected by POC President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino to be part of the Philippine delegation to the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, which will gather the best young athletes from across the continent.
The appointment came on October 12, a day before Tancontian’s birthday on October 13, adding an inspiring twist to his celebration. As part of the delegation, he will assist and support the country’s young athletes competing in the prestigious multi-sport event.
“Feeling incredibly grateful! 🙏 Huge thanks to POC President Bambol Tolentino for entrusting me with a role in the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain,” Tancontian shared in a Facebook post. “This is a dream come true and a massive opportunity. I'm ready to learn, contribute, and help our young athletes shine on the Asian stage. Time to work again! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! 🇵🇭”
Tancontian’s inclusion in the delegation comes at a time when PilipinasnSambo continues to gain recognition and success both locally and internationally — a testament to his leadership and passion for the sport.
