Andanar said there are 854 families or 2,894 persons inside 12 evacuation centers in CALABARZON as  of 8a.m. today.

He said Department of Social Welfare and Development has ensured the readiness of its Quick Response Teams and has also ensured standby stockpile of food and non-food items to augment local supplies when needed.

"We urge all residents of affected barangays and communities to remain alert and vigilant, get news updates from trusted sources and authorities," he said.

Andanar said people should also cooperate with concerned agencies while the volcano situation is being monitored for any developments.

The Philippine Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) Main Crater Observation Station recorded a phreatomagmatic eruption of Taal Main Crater from 7:22 a.m. to 8:59 a.m., of March 26.

The eruption produced steam-laden grayish plumes that rose 3 kilometers and was accompanied by volcanic earthquakes and infrasound.
