The logical and calm guard has been allowed to represent NLEX in the Governors' Cup of the Philippine Basketball Association on January 22.
Road Warriors coach Frankie Lim said Gabo and unrestricted free agent Clint Doliguez both received one-year offers.
With Basilan, Gabo had won championships in the VisMin Cup and BRT Sumisip-St. In the PBA D-League.
After leading AICC Manila to a best-of-three championship series victory over San Juan Go-For-Gold, he was also voted the Finals' Most Valuable Player of the first Filbasket competition.
But more than that, he was named a member of the Mythical Team and played a significant part in Nueva Ecija's championship victory in the most recent campaign of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.
In light of this, it is expected that Gabo, a former standout basketball player for Mapua University, is regarded as one of the nation's top players outside the PBA.
Now that he has joined a rebuilding Road Warriors team, he will have a fantastic opportunity to show off his talent in the PBA.
According to Lim, Gabo and Doliguez have been joining their exercises and have formed strong bonds with the Road Warriors.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
