DAVAO CITY---On April 1, some of the stakeholders of chess in Mindanao will gather in Davao City to discuss various issues of their sports in the Mindanao Chess Summit Better Chess for Mindanow.
The chess summit will be held here at the Jardin del Roca in Eden, Toril.
The chess summit will also discuss how to enhance the sport further and help the young chessers in Mindanao succeed.
Aside from the summit, a tournament will be held at the same venue the following day.
For a registration fee of P300, the participants can win P8,000 if they emerge as champions in the tournament.
A veteran lawyer, the owner of Jardin del Roca, and one of the summit organizers are hopeful many chess players will join the summit and tournament on April 1 and 2. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
