DAVAO CITY--A 32-year-old male public school teacher died after the car he was driving hit a parked truck on the National Highway in Barangay Poblacion, Matalam, North Cotabato, Sunday morning.
The Matalam Municipal Police identified the victim as Haresh Dan Yusop, who died at around 3 a.m. on October 16.
Initial police investigation revealed the victim was driving a Toyota Wigo from Kidapawan City, North Cotabato, towards Kabacan, North Cotabato, when he lost control of the brake and hit a parked Hino truck.
Due to the collision's strong impact, the victim's car was severely damaged, leading to his death.
It was learned that the two companions of the victim are also severely injured and are currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
