DAVAO CITY---A 50-year-old father driving a tricycle died and his 12-year-old son was injured after the three-wheel vehicle collided with a carabao on a national road in Carmen town, Bohol, on the evening of August 29.
According to Carmen Police Station, Senior Master Sgt. Jayson Lofranco, the carabao, suddenly crossed the road at Barangay Buenos Aires, resulting in a deadly crash.
The driver, Ereneo Ybanez, 50, was transported to a hospital in the afternoon but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Lofranco stated that Ybanez's son, who suffered a brain injury, was still being treated at the hospital.
Meanwhile, authorities have yet to locate and identify the carabao's owner.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
