DAVAO CITY---On Saturday, January 7, police officers of Regional Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit 10 detonated all illegal fireworks and pyrotechnics that had been seized.
The illegal firecrackers, estimated to be worth P13,000, were seized during a check of shops in Northern Mindanao, mainly in Bukidnon, according to PSMS Rick Ryan Acosta of the Regional Civil Security Unit 10.
The Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit-10 has also detained an online seller selling illegal firecrackers in Malaybalay, Bukidnon, according to Police Major Joan Navarro, the spokesperson for the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Northern Mindanao.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
