In his keynote address, Go described Davao as a major contributor to the country’s economic growth and the center of business activity in Mindanao.

Among the reforms he cited were lower registration fees at the Securities and Exchange Commission, longer validity of importer accreditation at the Bureau of Customs, and reduced Creditable Withholding Tax rates of the Bureau of Internal Revenue for local importers and manufacturers.
The Finance chief urged business leaders and industry stakeholders to take advantage of Mindanao’s economic potential by investing in the region, developing industries and creating more jobs.
He said the government wants to reduce the costs and difficulties faced by businesses as they establish and expand their operations.
