OVP gears up for Typhoon Inday response

MANILA — The Office of the Vice President has activated its disaster preparedness and response measures as Typhoon Inday approaches, with relief goods and essential resources being prepositioned in areas that may be affected by the weather disturbance.

Through the OVP Disaster Operations Center (DOC), the agency has begun coordinating to ensure the timely deployment of humanitarian assistance and emergency support to communities in need.

Relief items and other essential supplies have been strategically prepositioned in key locations that are expected to be affected by the typhoon. 

The OVP's Eastern Visayas Satellite Office, Cagayan Valley Satellite Office, and Bicol Satellite Office have likewise been placed on heightened readiness to facilitate coordination with local government units and partner agencies and ensure a swift response in their respective areas.

The OVP continues to closely monitor the movement of Typhoon Inday through its Disaster Operations Center and remains prepared to mobilize additional resources as necessary, reaffirming its commitment to providing immediate assistance to affected Filipinos. SoutheastAsians & Pacific Islanders
