Coast Guard SEM deploys over 900 personnel across 7 stations for Holy Week

The Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM) has mobilized a total of 939 personnel across its seven Coast Guard stations and fifty-one substations strategically positioned throughout the Davao Region.

This deployment is in support of Oplan Byaheng Ayos: Semana Santa, ensuring the safety, security, and convenience of the traveling public during the Holy Week observance.

The operation is carried out under the directives of the Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG  (CPCG), reinforcing heightened alert measures in ports, ferry terminals, and coastal areas expected to experience increased passenger traffic.

Deployed personnel are tasked to conduct round-the-clock monitoring, enforce maritime safety regulations, assist passengers, and coordinate closely with partner agencies and local government units.

This initiative includes strict vessel inspections, passenger assistance desks, and emergency response readiness to address any contingencies.

Upholding strong commitment to public service, the CGDSEM assures its full commitment to safeguarding lives and maintaining order in all maritime transportation hubs across the region during this period of heightened travel activity.

With this, the CGDSEM encourages all travelers to observe safety protocols, follow advisories, and coordinate with authorities for a safe and orderly Semana Santa journey.
