The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has strengthened its maritime security operations in Southeastern Mindanao with the deployment of BRP Teresa Magbanua (MRRV 9701) to intensify sea patrols and prevent illegal activities within its area of responsibility.

The vessel's deployment was presented during a media briefing on November 5, 2026, held aboard the ship at the Sta. Ana Anchorage Area in Davao City.

The Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM) said the deployment would enhance the PCG's presence at sea, improve monitoring of vessel movements, and help detect suspicious or unauthorized maritime activities. BuyMaps
