Calvin Quinn Posadas won the Gold Medal in the Judo-71 kilogram Juvenile Category.
On October 26, the city also congratulated Jian Paul Baulos, a Davao City delegate who was able secure bronze medal in the Boys' 16–17 Aquatics (Swimming) 200 LC Meters.
SDD Head Michael Denton Aportadera said on October 24, 2025 over Davao City Disaster Radio, that he had high hopes that athletes representing Davao City will show exemplary performance in the games.
"I strongly believe that we have very competitive delegation now. We will be striving for the best kay tungod (also because) we have a lot of new faces who have tried out and qualified to represent the city. They are equally competitive and I am confident with the capacity of the athletes to who knows musaka sa Top 3 (their rank may rise to Top 3)," he said.
"I think our athletes will do good," Aportadera added.
Aportadera said that the Davao City Delegation was warmly received at the Dadiangas South Central Elementary School upon their arrival on October 23, 2025.
He said the City Government of Davao ensures that the transportation of the student athletes was well arranged so that they won't experience inconveniences prior to their event.
"The city has been practicing and providing sakto nga transportation--nagapasalamat mi ni Acting Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte and Acting Vice Mayor "Rigo" Duterte for providing us the support that the athletes needed (The city has been practicing and providing adequate transportation, and we thank Davao City Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte and Acting Vice Mayor "Rigo" Duterte for providing the support that the athletes needed)," Aportadera said.
Aportadera reported that Davao City has a total of 700 athletes participating in the Batang Pinoy, including the delegation sent to Manila, who are doing gymnastics. The majority, or 500-600 athletes are in General Santos City. CIO
