Jilliana Winstelle Dagpin, a promising Davaoeña athlete, scored a goal in the Philippines’ 2-0 victory over Tajikistannduring the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from October 13–17, 2025.
Representing the country for the first time, the Ateneo de Manila University student made a remarkable debut, scoring a goal while playing as a defender. Jilliana, who hones her football skills with the Makati Football Club, expressed her excitement and gratitude for donning the national colors.
“It’s an honor to wear the national colors and play alongside some of the best young talents in the Philippines,” she said.
Beyond football, Jilliana’s athletic journey stands out for her impressive versatility. She is also a decorated taekwondo champion, proving her passion and excellence in multiple sports.
