The program under Tupad Pangako Program of the Davao Del Sur Task Force Balik-Loob was held at Mindanao Baptist Rural Life Center (MBRLC) at Brgy. Kinuskusan, Bansalan, Davao Del Sur after their graduation on October 20.
The Inter-Agency program which is on its third implementation since 2021 aims to deconstruct the "hate" indoctrinated to former rebels, redeem their dignity, and reorient them on home economics and family values as part of the general objective of reintegrating the FRs to their respective communities.
The FRs three-month programmed activities include psychosocial intervention, inter-personal skills and spiritual enlightenment; Occupational and Livelihood Skills Development which comprises organic farming, home economics and industrial skills; and Alternative Literacy Program.
The beneficiaries were also enrolled in the civil registry and were given legal papers, particularly birth certificates.
Each of them also received starter kits worth P20,000 from the provincial agriculture office.
The closing ceremony was attended by the different converging agencies and institutions of the program including local officials, officers from Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development 11 DSWD), Department of Education (DEPED), Department of Agriculture (DA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority-11 (TESDA), Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and Barangay officials.
Present also during the event were officers from 39th Infantry Battalion, 10th Infantry Division, and police.
