NCIP in a statement said, Cultural Sensitivity is an important aspect in delivering the basic services to IP Communities to establish respect and mutual trust.

The volunteers will be participating in an upcoming project called Peace and Development Alternative Literacy System (PEDALS) in close partnership with DepEd Davao del Sur and other government agencies.

The project aims to provide basic literacy education to the farflung areas which have no or limited access to education. This will also address the lack of education problem in CTG-cleared and GIDA communities, NCIP said. (BY RICHY NALAGON)
