The agents of the Regional Special Enforcement Team–Davao City Office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 11, in coordination with the Police Precinct 17 (Baliok Police Station), arrested the suspect, identified as alias “Warlito,” 53 years old, for selling one medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth P7,000 to a PDEA agent who acted as a poseur-buyer.
The authorities were able to seize another 15 sachets of suspected shabu of different sizes, weighing about 520 grams, with an estimated street value of P3,536,000 and marked buy-bust money.
The successful operation is part of PDEA 11’s intensified anti-drug campaign under the leadership of Director Edgar Jubay which aims to dismantle major drug networks operating in the region.
The suspect will be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
