Verse of the Day | August 18, 2024
- ξ
βEven though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me.β
Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
βHe who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the Lord.β
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentancE.
They replied, βBelieve in the Lord Jesus, and you will be savedβyou and your household.β
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
βDo not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.β
Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence
βDo not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.β
βYou love evil more than good, and lying more than speaking what is right."
"Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who act faithfully are his delight."
Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies
Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
βThen you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.β
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
