CAAP, BI have no record of Sen. Bato dela Rosa's flight to Mindanao

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and the Bureau of Immigration (BI) have no records indicating that Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa traveled to Mindanao or boarded any domestic flight since he left the Senate in May.

In an interview with DZRH News, CAAP said private aircraft are also required to submit flight plans and passenger manifests, allowing authorities to verify the identities of passengers on board.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) earlier claimed that dela Rosa was in Mindanao and was allegedly being protected by an armed group. BuyMaps

The senator also ignored the October 30 deadline set by PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., who urged those allegedly sheltering him to cooperate with authorities.

Dela Rosa faces a crimes against humanity case before the International Criminal Court (ICC), alongside former President Rodrigo Duterte, in connection with the war on drugs.

A ₱50-million bounty has been offered for his arrest.
